Hunting in Ireland

HUNTING IN IRELAND

In Ireland, we offer the hunt for sika deer with our partner. Hunting Sika in Ireland differs from hunting in other European countries. The Sikas live in free in the Irish forests and countryside. The Sika is very shy and likes to hide in the undergrowth and is therefore also called black phantom. In Kerry, the little creatures live in the dense forest and come out of the forest in the early morning and late evening. The best hunting season is for rutting as the deer are very active at this time. Hunting in Ireland can be challenging, so good fitness is an advantage. However, we will tailor the hunt to the needs of the guest so that everyone has the opportunity to hunt successfully. Ireland offers a variety of landscapes, from the rugged cliffs of the Atlantic coast to the rolling hills of the inland. These different environments create varied hunting opportunities for different game species. From stalking in the forests to driven hunts in open fields, the Irish hunting tradition reflects the diversity of the island's natural environments. Big game hunting also plays an important role in Ireland. Red deer and sika deer roam the island's forests and hills, and hunting these majestic animals is an integral part of Irish hunting tradition. The long traditions of hunting in Ireland are closely linked to the history of land use and wildlife conservation. Combining traditional methods, respect for the environment and strong social cohesion, hunting in Ireland remains not just an activity, but a cultural heritage that combines the beauty of nature and the history of the island.
